What are EMF doing for Remembrance Day?

Remembrance Day and Remembrance  services mean so much to people. We see poppies lining the streets on lamp posts, poppy displays in windows, swathes of poppies on the side of buildings and churches.  RBL are out in force and other charities have their own services and events to honour the occasion.

Elysium Memorial Foundation is equally busy.  Our amazing display with our weary hero in Catterick next to CIC is thanks to hard work from our supporters, we also have supporters in Scotland laying wreaths for us at a Remembrance ceremony and wreath laying at Trac Mon racetrack in Anglesey at their Race of Remembrance.  We are extremely grateful to all our supporters who continue to get involved, donate, buy merchandise and spread awareness.

For us Remembrance is not just about those that we have lost in war or conflict but also those that are lost to their own mental ill health.  Those that through their military service and outside of it have had to deal with battles within themselves.  Not just those that we have lost but their families and friends.  The lives they can no longer share and the grief that never goes away.

So, as we bow our heads for those two minutes remember not just those lost but their loved ones also.  They pay a much steeper price for their loved one’s sacrifice.
