Solace in Devon

I had the pleasure of meeting Joanne Edwards today who with Matt Wildgoose has created a place where families under pressure can breathe again.

Located in Okehampton, Coombe Head Farm provides a place where you feel you can fit in.  It is not a retreat in the traditional sense, nor a programme with a fixed agenda.  It is somewhere that you can relax and recharge. 

There is plenty to do and views that have you reaching for your camera.

Jo and Matt have created a place where you can enjoy the simple pleasures of the great outdoors; cooking outside, building dens, learning bush craft skills or simply enjoying the fresh air and all that nature provides.

This ‘back to nature’ approach provides healing and respite for parents who just need a moment to be able to ‘switch off’ or children who have spent long periods in hospital or highly structured environments.

For Jo it is a place that gives  people hope and joy when they have lost both.
