The annual Ride To The Wall pilgrimage at the National Memorial Arboretum took place on the 5th October and the turn out was amazing. With over 5,000 bikers and 7,000 wallers the Arboretum was packed with thousands paying their respects to friends, family and loved ones.
A couple of our supporters met up with Karen St Leger and the Staffordshire Goldwings on the day and thanks to Jeff Brook and Steve Atherden who kindly laid a wreath at The Wall on behalf of EMF.
RTTW is a unique motorcycling event which gives motorcyclists an opportunity to gather and ride as a group to a place of remembrance, to pay their respects to our serving and fallen service men and women and in doing so, raise funds solely for the purpose of perpetuating their memory and recognising the sacrifice made.
The National Memorial Arboretum is a UK registered charity and 150-acre visitor site on the edge of the National Forest in Staffordshire. Part of the Royal British Legion, but a separate legal body, we exist to ensure that: the unique contribution of those who have served and sacrificed is never forgotten; the baton of Remembrance is passed on through the generations; there is a year-round space to celebrate lives lived and commemorate lives lost.
