The 24hr Mental Health Support Line, previously managed by Combat Stress, has now renamed as the ‘Armed Forces Support Line’ under the management of Optima Health.
Optima Health is one of the UK's largest occupational health and employee wellbeing services company, bringing over 75 years of experience and is a major provider to the NHS, central, and local government.
Of key importance, is that this was a transition of service, not a change in the level or quality of support provided. The support line remains available by calling 0800 3232 4444, 24/7, offering confidential advice and assistance to serving personnel and their families.
Remember, there are lots of helplines out there that are available to anyone struggling, especially at this time of year. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to reach out, they are there to help, listen and support whether it is feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope or just someone to talk to when you are feeling lonely. Use the lifelines available.
