And we're off! Just 280 miles to go...

After setting off to the piper from Liverpool-Scottish from Preston Brook Wharf on the 1st day we made our way to Middlewich, as exciting as it was to get underway, it was a very tough day in the rain.

The 2nd day was raining but got better and we met some amazing people along the route in their canal boats. We finished the 2nd night at the Plume of Feathers, Barlaston and were warmly welcomed by the Goldwings motorcycle club. They even helped us carry the boats to where we were camping.

The 3rd day we set off to nice weather towards the canal farm shop at Great Haywood. We were met by the owner who kindly gave us lunch and a donation. We then headed off to Tuppenhurst barn B&B, who had us set up camp in their field.

A good friend from the Army, Kate Hannaford joined us on her paddle board on the morning of the 4th day. Today, the 4th day, has been really tough and tiring. We have now arrived at Mancetter Marina to a round of applause and cheers from the boaters who have kindly cooked a BBQ for us.

We have met so many amazing and generous people already, a big thank you to all those that have been supportive along the route.

Now for a good nights rest and then we're back on the water in the morning!
