Lorna has been a supporter of charities from an early age.  As a child living in The Gulf she started fundraising for the building of the Doha College in Qatar.  She has also completed the Moon Walk for Breast Cancer and has been an advocate for veteran’s affairs for many years.

Fundraising through the British Legions Poppy Walk and Live On campaigns she was nominated at the British Legion Fundraising Awards in 2018.

Living in Aldershot for many years Lorna has spent a lot of time around the military, with friends and family serving in all branches. She has gained an understanding of some of the issues and challenges veterans face.

Coming from a secretarial and office management background Lorna has run a line dance club for 20 years hosting international choreographers and fundraising for the NYFD post 9/11 as well as running an office for 14 national tutors in the Bowen Technique.

 

Lorna has been supporting the Elysium Memorial Foundation since 2021 bringing those skills to the charity and is passionate about bringing this project to completion to honour those that have lost their lives to suicide.
